Cal Poly Classes

The SARC helped institute a lecture course offered to Cal Poly students for General Education (Area F) credit, Organic Agriculture (AG 315). This 4-unit course is open to all students each spring term, and covers the history, philosophy, regulation of the organic food industry. A hands-on Organic Enterprise class (CRSC 203) open to all students is offered at the Organic Farm every term.

Continuing Education

Periodically, the SARC organizes special classes and workshops offered through the Continuing Education Department and open to the general public.

Sustainable Agriculture Minor

As part of his senior project, SARC co-founder, Terry Hooker, worked with College of Agriculture faculty to design a minor for sustainable agriculture. This minor is now approved, and is open to students from across the university.
